Coaching Scope & Disclaimer
The Thriving Parent Program is a coaching and educational service and is not psychotherapy, crisis intervention, medical treatment, or emergency mental health care. Coaching is designed to support parents in developing practical skills, communication strategies, emotional awareness, and healthier family patterns. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders.
If a higher level of care, therapy, or crisis support appears necessary, appropriate referrals or recommendations may be provided.
If there is concern regarding safety, abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, or significant mental health instability, emergency or clinical services should be contacted immediately. In these cases, clients can call or text 988, call 911, or go to their nearest hospital.
Scheduling & Attendance
Sessions are scheduled through the designated scheduling system and are intended to support consistency and progress throughout the program. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled within 24 hours will be charged unless another session is scheduled within the same calendar week.
Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late will be considered a missed session and charged in full.
Payment & Refund Policy
Payment is required prior to scheduled coaching services.
If a client chooses to discontinue the program early, completed sessions will be charged at the current individual session rate, and any remaining balance may be refunded at the discretion of Thriving Parent.
Communication Expectations
Communication between sessions is intended for scheduling, brief questions, or clarification related to coaching materials and is not intended for ongoing crisis support or therapeutic communication. Coaching communication is not monitored continuously and should not be used for urgent mental health concerns or emergencies.
Responses may not be immediate, and communication availability outside of scheduled sessions is limited.
Confidentiality & Safety
Reasonable efforts will be made to protect the privacy and confidentiality of coaching conversations and personal information. However, confidentiality may be limited when there is concern regarding safety, abuse, neglect, threats of harm, or situations required by law to be reported.
Coaching services are not intended for emergency situations or crisis response.
